How can I help Stee McMorris with Whispers?

I have no film experience, but I want to help with stuff and hang out with cool movie people and famous planetary politicians! How do I do that?
Well, that depends. Do you have only a few hours a week to spare at most, or have no car, or have a day job or kids?
Congrats! We can start you off as a Design PA and if you do well, you’ll move up to something else! Right now we need the most help making and organizing costumes and set pieces, but later on we will need Set PAs, Grips, Camera Ops, Boom Ops, Script Supervisors, Set Designers and many other things which can be done on occasional nights and weekends along with a responsible career. Being a Design PA is the first step where we learn what kind of work we can trust you with. To sign up, contact Warren!

Congrats! We can send you to Warren or Stee and have one of them eat your soul and brain. He or she will indoctrinate you in the insane workaholism of the indie director, and probably make you his or her Assistant Director for as long as we can get you for. You’ll end up with either the confidence and skills to make your own movies, or the belief that we are completely mad, or both. And it’ll be a wild ride. Strange Harvest needs an Assistant Director or two, as well as a gaffer and maybe a DP! It needs some help on the design end too! Preference to female or extremely feminist male crew! Send your resume or reel to Stee!

Would you like to hear my verbal or paragraph-long movie or TV show idea?
We already just heard it psychically with our minds! There’s no need to tell us! We already think it’s a GREAT IDEA, so you should write it down into a full length screenplay! For a feature film that means 61-120 pages, for a TV pilot that will be either 22 pages or 44 pages! Make sure to at least try to use proper screenplay format, although a few mistakes won’t matter! You can do it!
Would you like to read my full-length screenplay?
Yes! Especially television screenplays! Contact Warren about it! Typically it will be 1-2 months before you get feedback, which will be either “we want to buy this off you for insanely low money, and then change the crap out of it and make it our own”, “we might buy some later draft of this, but it needs work”, or “we love it but it’s not our style. you have our blessing”. If you want detailed feedback, you can get it for a fee, or by waiting a really really long time! Or you can be Stee’s or Warren’s patrons, and get UNFAIR SPECIAL TREATMENT!
Can I PAY you to read my screenplay/make my screenplay into a movie/make a music video for my band/make a commercial for my product or service/film my performance act/edit my movie/do some other thing?
Yes! Money gets our attention faster than anything else! We have lots of ideals, but we love green tasty delicious money, and we need it to live! Can I be one of the candidates for Overlord of Planet Earth?
Yes! But this will take a lot of work on our part, so give us money! We charge $500 for a simple commercial designed by us, or $1000 for one designed by you! We’ll put it up on YouTube for free, but if you want it on actual television, you will have to also pay the individual station whatever their price for airtime is. If you’re VERY FAMOUS and we like you, we might do it for cheaper or for free! Contact Warren.
When’s the next shoot? Can I come to it?
Currently, the next shoot is this weekend. We do not allow spectators at shoots. However, there are three ways you can still come to a shoot: Be in the cast (see the top question on this page), be in the crew(see the second, third and fourth questions on this page), or be a producer.
Would you like to come to my show/event/play/birthday/mind meld session?
Yes! Or at least we really want to! However, every day we have 10 or more people chasing us to get various things done, and we work 12-16 hours every day to make our films actually happen, instead of fall by the wayside as zombies eat our faces! We love and want to support our friends, but we can only make it to about ONE non-film event per month! This isn’t because we don’t love you! Also, we would love to PROMOTE your event by putting it on the Scene Spy! Invite us anyway! There’s only a small chance we can actually go ourselves, but we’re much more likely to TELL ALL OUR FRIENDS! We’re all in this renaissance together!
